Neil T Hart BSc. (Hons) FRICS

Group Managing Director

Neil Hart, who has been with the firm since 2000, became Managing Director in 2015. Neil has a strong background in property services and has been responsible for an extensive range of commercial properties for a large client base in Newcastle. Neil headed up the team responsible for the successful launch of Bradley Hall’s Gosforth office in 2005, Grey Street in 2011 and most recently Hood Street in 2016. He has forged a strong reputation as one of Newcastle’s most dynamic chartered surveyors and has developed excellent relationships with clients by delivering a first-class service.

Peter F Bartley BSc. (Hons) MRICS

Senior Director

Peter joined Bradley Hall 20 years ago and now heads up the firm’s residential operation. An expert in handling high value, luxury residential property matters, he provides consultancy services on key residential transactions, conducts valuations, rent reviews and lease renewals and advises clients on the acquisition and disposal of retail properties.

Geoff Davis BA. (Hons) FCA

Finance Director

Geoff is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and joined Bradley Hall in March 2010. A highly motivated and experienced accountant, he specialises in property and previously enjoyed a 22-year career at Grainger plc, the listed residential landlord, where he was company secretary before progressing to head of finance.
In his current role Geoff is responsible for all aspects of finance and provides key services to clients including the production of service charge accounts and cash flow budgeting.

Richard Rafique BSc. (Hons) MRICS


Richard was appointed by Bradley Hall in 2014 to strengthen the commercial team at the Grey Street office. He has extensive experience of multiple disciplines within the profession, which has enabled him to provide expert advice on a broad range of issues including property management and valuations. Richard is a highly proactive agent and works closely with clients to acquire and dispose of premises in accordance with their requirements. As an RICS registered valuer, he provides valuation advice for several financial institutions and pension schemes.

Catherine Affleck BSc (Hons) MRICS

Operations Director

Catherine has worked at Bradley Hall for over 10 years. She has a first class honours degree in Estate Management. In 2017 she was promoted to Operations Director. In her current role, Catherine reports to the Board of Directors and oversees day to day activities to ensure the smooth running and efficiency of the organisation at the direction of the Group Managing Director. Catherine specialises in Property Management and continues to lead and oversee a growing property management department, dealing with service charge management and landlord and tenant matters. Always keen to put something back, Catherine became an RICS APC Assessor in 2015.

Christopher Whitehouse BSc (Hons) MRICS & RICS Accredited Expert Witness

Planning Director

Chis has joined BH Group as a planning director for BH Planning and Design. BH Planning and Design launched in 2017 and offers bespoke planning and design services across the north east.

Chris is an experienced chartered planning and development surveyor and specialises in a variety of sectors which include planning appeals, expert witness, project management, development appraisals, public and professional consultation, portfolio maximisation and more.

Tim Aisbitt BSc (Hons) MRICS

Associate Director

Tim specialises in agency, commercial development and investment work. A qualified chartered surveyor and RICS registered valuer, Tim acts for a number of national and local retailers advising on new stores and also acts for developers, investors and land owners across the region advising on acquisition, disposal and development advice.

Tim graduated from Northumbria University with an Estate Management degree with first class honours in June 2011. Tim became Associate Director of Bradley Hall in November 2015.

Associate Director

Henry has joined Bradley Hall this year as an associate director in building surveying and works from our Newcastle office. Henry specialises in building surveying services which include but are not limited to project management, design work, contract administration of commercial refurbishment projects, condition surveys, dilapidation negotiations among many more. Henry has almost 10 years of experience in the industry and is looking forward to expanding our services, meeting our clients needs and attracting new business opportunities.

Carl O'Brien BSc (Hons) MRICS

Senior Surveyor and Registered Valuer

Carl O’Brien is employed in a Senior Surveyor capacity primarily focusing on Commercial Landlord & Tenant matters including Rent Reviews and Lease Renewals and is equally comfortable acting on behalf of landlords or tenants. Being an RICS accredited Registered Valuer Carl also assists in the preparation and undertaking of valuations for a vast variety of clients and purposes. Additionally Carl has previous experience working as a Commercial Property Agent and as such has a broad range of experience in the local market. Carl graduated in Estate Management from Northumbria University in 2010 and achieved his Chartered status in October 2013.

Rachel Farrier BSc (Hons) MRICS

Chartered Surveyor

Rachel joined the team in 2017 working predominantly within the Property Management team. Rachel has over 10 years of experience in the property industry and graduated from Northumbria University with a degree in Estate Management. Rachel oversees the day-to-day running of a portfolio of commercial properties for a number of key clients. As a RICS accredited Registered Valuer Rachel also undertakes valuations and provides advice to clients for a range of valuation purposes.

Laura began her Bradley Hall career in June 2011 when she joined the firm’s Grey Street office as an administration assistant. In her current role she assists directors with property management dealing with landlords and tenants on a daily basis. Laura has embarked on a degree after being accepted to study Real Estate Management with The College of Estate Management.

Jordan Bowler BSc (Hons)

Marketing Manager

Jordan began her journey with Bradley Hall in 2015 after completing a degree at Sunderland University. Jordan has recently been promoted to Marketing Manager and works closely with the surveyors and directors on the marketing of properties and the company. Jordan is responsible for day to day advertising of properties, discussions with the press and PR consultants and ensures clients’ marketing needs are satisfied. She is an integral part of the agency process.

Joseph Ianson BSc (Hons) MRICS

Chartered Surveyor

A key member of Bradley Hall’s property management department, Joseph oversees the day-to-day running of the company’s commercial and residential property portfolio across County Durham. He is also responsible for managing and letting student properties across Durham and holds the enviable record of successfully letting every property under his management. Joseph joined the company after graduating from Northumbria University with an Estate Management degree (2:1).

Nick joined the company in May 2014 to start his placement year through Northumbria University where he studied Estate Management. As an enthusiastic member of the team, Nick currently works alongside senior surveyors and directors in the commercial sector to assist with agency instructions in our Newcastle branch after completing his degree in May 2016.

Oliver joined Bradley Hall in 2015 as a placement student and has recently completed his degree in Real Estate. Oliver has joined the Morpeth team as a graduate surveyor and will be dealing with both commercial and residential matters including sales, lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews, valuations and more. Oliver is currently working towards his APC.

Karen Smethurst MAAT

Property Accountant

Karen is a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and joined Bradley Hall in October 2010. She has enjoyed a diverse career in property, initially as a member of the rent team at a Housing Association before progressing to Leasehold Services Manager in charge of all aspects of property management and accounting of Right to Buy properties. In Karen's current role she deals with all aspects of the property accounting and client liaison. In addition to this, she puts her expertise in Leasehold management and section 21 consultation legislation to good use by acting as Property Manager for certain residential properties within our management portfolio.

Tracy joined Bradley Hall’s Newcastle head office at the end of 2016 as an Accounts Officer. Tracy has extensive knowledge and experience of accounting procedures and some of her duties include credit control, client statements, monitor proforma invoices and bank reconciliation as well as assisting with other accounting responsibilities .

Georgina Manning

Accounts Assistant

Georgina began working at Bradley Hall in November 2012 as an accounts assistant. Georgina deals with various aspects of accounting procedures such as office and client purchase ledger, petty cash reconciliations, assisting property surveyors and dealing with incoming queries from not only clients but also suppliers and tenants. Georgina also works closely with the finance director with dealing with service charge accounts.

Cheryl has recently joined Bradley Hall as a personal assistant to the managing director, Neil Hart. Cheryl works closely with Neil and helps with his busy schedule and day to day working life. Cheryl also undertakes a number of administrative duties and assists with diary management, supporting other directors and surveyors and keeping client databases and schedules up to date.
