Property firm swings into action to support children’s charity
Bradley Hall swung into action to support a local children’s charity by sponsoring its annual golf fundraiser.
A North East property firm swung into action to support a local children’s charity by sponsoring its annual golf fundraiser.
Business people from across the region came together to take part in the tournament and donate to the charity.
Around £280,000 is required to renovate the centre, which has been designed to include a hydrotherapy pool used by fully trained specialised staff, a large adapted therapy room, a special Olympic sized trampoline with hoist systems as well as self- contained, fully accessible accommodation for children, siblings and parents to use whilst accessing weekly intensive physiotherapy.
Bradley Hall senior director, Peter Bartley who is a trustee for the charity, said: “Heel and Toe are an independent local charity which completely rely on donations to provide much needed therapy for children with disabilities.
“The new centre which Heel and Toe hope to build this year will provide beneficial facilities for the children who need it most, as well as their families.
“I truly am proud to be involved with this charity and am glad that Bradley Hall and I have the opportunity to support such an important organisation.
“The golf tournament was a successful day for the charity, raising thousands for its Footprints Building Appeal, while also being a fantastic day for all taking part.”
Heel and Toe, based in Pelton, Chester Le Street, was established in 2008 due to lack of therapy for children with physical disabilities provided by the NHS.
The charity currently helps over 125 children from across the North East each week with 12,000 hours of free therapy including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language, conductive education and special educational needs tutoring.
Heel and Toe chairman, Paul Gilsenan, said; “We would like to thank everyone who took part in supporting us during the golf tournament, especially our sponsors Bradley Hall.
“The Footprints Building appeal is very important to us as we want to provide vital facilities which will make a positive impact on the lives of children with complex physical disabilities and their families.”
